Mercy Yewong Fanfon

Team Member, Cameroon

Mercy Fanfon grew up as a pastor’s child, but only “played” at following Christ until she received the Gospel in 1999 after watching the Jesus film.

Mercy holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and worked in banking in Cameroon and Nigeria before joining LeaderSource. She has a great passion to impact lives positively for God’s kingdom, a passion she applied while in banking with little headway. Becoming part of the healthy leader movement in LeaderSource gave her the opportunity for continuous personal growth and a platform from which she could confidently share her passion and see transformational impact.

Mercy is thrilled to be building a healthy leader movement in her country and the world at large, impacting and changing lives by helping people to thrive and impacting their lives with the gospel. She currently lives in Cameroon, where in her spare time she enjoys counselling and personal development, reading, spending time with friends, and travelling.

During Mercy's time at LeaderSource, she has noticed the following paradigm shifts in her life:

Some of the paradigm shifts that have happened to me since I encountered LeaderSource are:

  • A shift from an “I can do it” mentality to an “Only God can do it through me” mentality. This has caused and is still causing enormous growth in my union with Christ.
  • A shift from just talking about and trusting God for change in specific areas of my life and in the life of others to a practical and holistic way of continual growth through the Four Dynamics. The ConneXions Model is such a gift to me.
  • The shift from an “Other people have the problem and need to be fixed by me (pride)” perspective to the realization that I can also be unhealthy in any of the 5Cs and need to continually be growing and trusting God and others with me (humility) . This is what even qualifies me to build others. “Be one. Build many.”
